Softening into Awareness

In my last post, I invited you to create an opening for Self-Love

by practicing Awareness.

But Awareness isn’t meant to feel like another thing for you to do.


Please let it feel like a softening

Let it be experienced as a gentle smoothing out

of the rough edges and inner snags that life creates within us —

in our bodies, minds, hearts, and spirits.

 

There is nothing for you to fix, force, or figure out.

Awareness is simply the gentle act of turning inward,

and allowing yourself to notice what’s present:

your sensations, your patterns, your thoughts, your emotions.

 

Can you notice your breath — when you hold it, or when it quickens?

Can you notice your body — when your jaw tightens, or your shoulders tense?

Can you notice your mind — when the “shoulds” start spinning,

or when fears sneaks in and whisper their warnings?

Can you notice your heart — when it begins to ache,

or when it shuts down to protect you from feeling?

 

✨ That’s the practice of Awareness.

 

Not fixing. Not criticizing.

Just noticing… Gently. Compassionately. Lovingly.

 

Instead of avoiding or bypassing your inner experience,

let Awareness shine a light on your unconscious patterns.


Instead of defaulting to the harmful stories you’ve inherited or internalized,

let Awareness reconnect you to your deeper truth.

 

Allow yourself to notice and feel the truth as it arises

in your body,

in your breath,

and in your tender heart.  

 

We can’t love the parts of ourselves

that we don’t allow ourselves to truly see.

And we can’t heal the patterns in how we care for and speak to ourselves,

until we allow ourselves to become aware of them.

 

This is why we begin with Awareness ~ not to judge ourselves,

but to gently notice, with compassion, what’s true for us in each moment.

 

Because when we become Aware of what’s present within,

we create the opening for Self-Love to enter…


Instead of bypassing or pushing your feelings away,

Can you soften into the Awareness of your inner experience?

💗 And in that soft opening of Awareness...

Self-Love can smooth those rough edges that have been covertly harming us.

Self-Love will tend to the places within us that have been quietly hurting.
