Breathing into Presence

Last time we were together in this space, we practiced Softening into Awareness.
As you continue to practice Awareness,
I hope you’ll notice this subtle truth:
Awareness is beckoning you into presence.
With Awareness, you create the space for a pause.
An opportunity
to take a deep, intentional breath ~
the kind of conscious breath that invites you home to yourself,
the kind of breath that fully brings you into the present moment.
The pause of Awareness allows you to use your breath as your anchor.
A conscious and intentional breath grounds you.
Without a conscious breath, Awareness just lingers in the head.
But when you breathe deeply with intention,
the breath guides you into your body,
into your heart,
into this moment.
A slow, deep, intentional breath
can dissolve the urgency, the tension, the fear, the existential ache, the mindless distraction…
A slow, deep, intentional breath
can expand the peace, the relaxation, the hope, the inner purpose, the focused creativity…
A slow, deep, intentional breath
creates a space of presence where you return to yourself.
Let your breath become an act of Self-Love,
a way of saying to yourself,
“I am safe to be here, in the experience of this moment.”
With your inhale, gather yourself into the present moment.
With your exhale, create more space to hold whatever you feel.
When we meet ourselves in the pause of Awareness with intentional breath,
we give our hearts a safe place to land ~
a small, private moment of connection with ourselves.
Every breath can be an invitation to return to yourself.

⚓ When you find yourself in a moment of Awareness today,
can you pause and breathe?
Not to change what you’re feeling,
but to be with yourself in it.
