Loving Thoughts for a Healthier Body

Many of us turned our attention to our bodies at the start of the new year.
We set goals, made resolutions, or chose intentions
around physically healing, getting "in shape," or becoming healthier.
A few weeks ago, I wrote about how your body needs your love.
Today, I want to revisit that conversation in the form of a loving reminder,
mixed in with a little bit of scientific fact.
Let’s gently reflect on how our relationship with our body is going…
Are you taking good care of your physical self?
Are you lovingly tending to your body temple?
How about your thoughts, feelings, and self-talk —
Are they harsh, critical, and demanding?
Or are they soothing, supportive, and affectionate?
Did you know that the way you speak to yourself
directly affects your biology?
Your thoughts create very real biochemical signals in your body.
They shape your immune system,
the levels of inflammation in your body,
your experience of physical pain,
and your ability to respond to stress,
as well as your capacity for resilience and healing.
✨ Your repeated thoughts powerfully influence your overall health.
This is scientific truth ~
repeated thoughts become biochemical information carried in your cells.
Let that sink in for a moment…
Every part of you is interconnected.
This is by Divine Design.
Your body, mind, heart, and soul all work together.
It’s essential for your overall health and well-being
that you choose loving and affirming thoughts.
You can’t heal a body that you scorn.
You can’t obsess your way to physical health.
You can’t control your body into healing.
You can’t shame your way to wellness.
You can’t punish your body into shape.
Not for long, anyway.
The most powerful medicine for healing,
the most sustainable foundation for physical well-being,
the most effective routine for getting more physically fit,
is to consistently treat your body with grace, compassion, and love.
Not just in how you move it…
but in how you think about it.
How you speak to it.
How well you listen to it.
Your body is always listening to you.
So think of it as a beloved companion, not a problem to fix.
Let's bring more awareness and intention to our self-talk.
Self-Love isn’t just a concept ~
it’s where spirituality and science meet.
What you repeatedly think and feel about yourself
becomes the environment your body must survive... or can soften into.
Choose loving thoughts that support your body to be healthy and thriving.

💗 Reassuring Your Body:
Place a hand anywhere on your body that could use your love.
Take one intentional deep breath in through your nose,
and release it slowly out through your mouth.
Quietly offer your body this reassurance:
"I will practice thinking about you and speaking to you with love."
