The Quiet Revolution of Healing

In recent posts, we’ve been talking about health,
and the importance of choosing loving thoughts, words, and actions for yourself.
Today, I want to expand on that
and offer a deeper reframe of what health actually is.
There’s a common misconception that health is a destination.
That you'll arrive when everything inside and outside of your body is 'perfect'.
But it’s not a place for you to arrive at,
or a perfected state for you to achieve.
Health isn't meant to be a noun.
✨ Health is a verb ~ an ongoing, living practice that you’re experiencing.
True health is a journey.
And in order to create sustainable well-being,
that journey must follow the path of Self-Love
in your body, mind, heart, and soul.
We all struggle with aspects of our health, just in different ways.
And part of being human is learning how to carry our burdens.
Sometimes we live with physical health conditions.
Sometimes we carry the mental strain of worry, fear, or anxiety.
Sometimes we wrestle with emotional pain or heaviness.
Sometimes we suffer quietly with a deep spiritual longing to feel connected.
We all deal with a combination of these to varying degrees,
at varying times throughout our lives.
None of this means something is wrong with you.
It simply means you’re human.
And within this collective experience of life as we know it,
Self-Love is the quiet revolution of healing,
just waiting to be discovered and embraced.
Self-Love is not just the path.
Self-Love is the medicine.
Not as a bypass, or a quick fix, or a band-aid.
But as the one path that is truly sustainable.
There’s no single roadmap for the journey of health, though.
There's no exact route to follow.
But there is a compass, and it’s individualized to you.
Your heart is your compass.
Learning to love and connect with yourself
is the practice of finding your way.

I invite you to pause right here for just a moment.
Breathe in slowly and deeply.
Then breathe out eeeven more slooowly.
Place a hand on your heart and whisper:
"I choose to experience the journey of my health
by walking the path of Self-Love."
