Your Difficult Emotions Are Portals

When you dedicate yourself to the practice of Self-Love,
something begins to shift in your emotional well-being.
The emotions you once labeled as "difficult"
start to become your most valuable guides.
Grief
Irritation
Fear
Impatience
Sadness
Apathy
Resistance
Guilt
Anger
Jealousy
They become opportunities to understand yourself more deeply,
and meet yourself with more compassion.
Unpleasant feelings aren’t something to avoid or get rid of.
They’re actually reminders to come back to yourself.
They’re invitations to truly love yourself,
in the Wholeness of who you are.
✨ Your difficult emotions are portals to deeper self-connection.
When we can be present with ourselves through uncomfortable feelings,
it strengthens our ability to feel safe and secure within ourselves.
As we learn to love ourselves,
we’ll find that the desirable emotions we most want to feel —
joy, gratitude, peace, curiosity, pleasure, inspiration, awe, love —
aren’t feelings that we can chase.
The emotions we want to feel
will naturally arise far more often
when we simply allow ourselves to be present
for whatever feeling is here right now.
When we stop trying so hard to feel good,
or resisting our emotions when we feel bad,
we begin to soften.
And we become more open to connection ~
With ourselves and others.
We can learn to love ourselves more completely
not just in the moments that feel good,
but in all of them…
In all of life’s experiences.
You’re able to embody your Wholeness
when you welcome your difficult emotions,
just as readily as you welcome the desirable ones.

"As I began to love myself, I found that anguish and emotional suffering
were only warning signs that I was living against my own truth." ~ Charlie Chaplin
💛 Pause and Allow
Take a moment to notice any emotion moving through you.
Can you resist the urge to label it as good or bad,
and simply allow it to be here?
Whatever feeling is present,
notice what happens when you welcome it.
