The Beauty in Never Arriving

We spend so much of our life with this secret underlying hope
that one day we’ll magically arrive "there" —
at the healed version of ourselves.
The perfectly peaceful version.
The ‘fixed’ version that’s never triggered and always wise...
The version that finally gets everything right.
But that finish line and that version don’t exist.
There is no moment, no final destination of Self,
when we suddenly become the flawless version of us.
There will be no moment when all our rough edges are smoothed.
No moment when our human nature
stops being human.
We are fluid, evolving Beings.
Ever learning, growing, softening, spiraling, unraveling, and re-weaving,
over and over again.
Wherever you are today,
is simply where you are on your path.
Allow yourself to be right here.
You cannot be off-track.
Perfection is not the point.
It’s all about the journey.
✨ In each moment, we’re simply being asked to walk lovingly with ourselves.
You are not meant to reach a final destination,
because if you were ever fully ‘finished’,
then you’d lose the very thing that teaches you grace and compassion.
How could we understand the growing pains of others
if we had none of our own?
How could we empathize with the struggles of our neighbors
if we never fumbled?
How could we see the humanity in our fellow humans,
if we’d somehow transcended our own?
The path teaches us how to love ourselves,
and therefore each other,
along the way.
Our imperfections are not flaws to fix ~
they’re meant to be bridges of connection between us.
There will always be something we’re learning.
Something we’re unlearning.
Something we’re healing.
Something we’re becoming.
And each step along the way is beautiful and meaning-full.
Every step in our process is allowed to be exactly what is needed.
So you see, we were never meant to arrive at a perfected version of ourselves
that has healed every wound or mastered every pattern.
But we are meant to cultivate relationships along the way.
With each step, we’re being reminded
to keep choosing presence on this journey.
Keep choosing compassion.
Keep choosing love ~
especially for the parts of us that feel incomplete.
And then mirror that for each other.
Your Wholeness isn’t found when you cross a finish line.
It’s in how lovingly you walk with yourself
as the journey unfolds.

"You do not have to have it all together to be whole.
You only have to show up for the journey." ~ Morgan Harper Nichols
👣 A Reminder for Your Journey:
Place one hand around your chest and the other around your belly,
letting your body soften into a gentle self-embrace.
Take a slow breath in… and a long breath out.
Lovingly remind yourself ~ "I don’t need to arrive at an ideal version of myself.
I already hold my Wholeness within me."
