Life Can Get Better with Age

I love the concept of aging gracefully.
To me, that means allowing the process to naturally unfold,
while appreciating the journey and loving myself where I am,
at every step along the way.
I truly believe that life gets better with age.
And that it’s all about perspective.
I’m a dedicated life-long learner,
and personal growth is a core value of mine.
So each day, I try to become a little more aware,
and feel grateful for each bit of wisdom I earn.
But many of us fear getting older.
And our culture bombards us with images
of faces and bodies that’ve been obviously altered,
sending a message that we should cling to the appearance of youth.
But the truth is that we only fear getting older
when we feel like we don’t have anything truly meaningful
to show for it.
(Let that land for a moment…)
The fear of aging is rooted in a perceived lack of personal value.
But when we’re actively participating in the expansion of our soul,
then each new day can become something to savor.
The difficult moments that stretch us
are just as precious
as the blissful and joyful ones.
✨ The lines on our face are well-earned and more meaningful
when we grow through our experiences.
Because our experiences shape us as we age.
They bring us closer to ourselves.
They deepen our understanding of life.
When we begin to appreciate even the hard lessons,
simply because they help us to know ourselves more fully,
life starts to feel like a series of gifts.
And we can be grateful for ALL of it.
So as time passes, and we grow older,
we learn to love ourselves more completely.
We soften into our Wholeness.
We embody more of who we truly are.
This is how aging happens gracefully.
It even becomes pleasurable.
Because we learn to savor the richness of life.
There’s a sweetness to each passing week, each changing season…
And you feel deliciously full. Deeply fulfilled.
So enjoy yourself.
Love yourself in every chapter of your journey.
Revel in every moment you get to be alive.
Earn those smile lines and laugh lines.
Collect each wrinkle and every grey hair
like the precious treasures they are.
Evidence of a life well lived.
Self-Love helps us to appreciate each opportunity to grow,
and turns the process of aging into a welcome experience.
