Grace Is in the Stillness

What does it mean to give yourself grace?
Grace is not just something bestowed upon us by a divine being.
Grace is not something you have to earn.
Grace is found in the quiet space within our hearts ~
in peace, in self-acceptance, in loving presence.
It’s the choice to recognize your own humanness,
and treat yourself with the same unconditional love and compassion
that you long to feel from another.
Giving yourself grace
means acknowledging your imperfections without judgment,
because there’s no way you can ever be perfect.
It means having compassion for your own feelings and experiences,
because being human is all about learning and growing through life.
But to really receive the expansive gift of grace from ourselves,
we must first find the place of stillness within.
✨️ Grace is invited by the stillness within our own hearts.
It comes to us in moments of simply Being with ourselves,
in a quiet state of unguarded presence,
as we let things settle…
Being still can be difficult and murky sometimes,
especially when we're stirred up with self-judgement or difficult emotions.
But as we practice Self-Love,
we reconnect to the willingness to love ourselves enough
to sit in stillness with whatever is present...
long enough to find Grace for ourselves.
And just like muddy water,
as you simply let it be,
with time,
the sediment fades and the water becomes clear.
You cannot force it.
You cannot rush it.
You must be patient and still.
Stillness guides you into presence and clarity within your heart.
Stillness teaches you to Allow whatever is present to softly settle.
Stillness creates the space for you to give yourself the grace of your own love.

Grace isn't something we have to earn ~ it's the gentle space we make for our own humanity when we sit in stillness and love ourselves as we are.
🤍 What might settle in you today
if you just let yourself Be Still?
Your own heart would like to give you the gift of grace…
Will you Allow yourself to receive it?
