Feeling Your Way Forward

Updated: Apr 6

Lately, I’ve shared that I’m moving through several difficult experiences.

I have a sense that this season of my life will bring big change…

and with it, I’ll have to make some big decisions.

My Self-Love practice is helping me to stay present and centered.

As I hold space for what’s unfolding,

I’m being mindful about how I meet it.

I’m not projecting fear or worry onto the future.

And I’m not gripping onto specific outcomes or trying to control what happens.

Because neither of those tendencies truly support us in times of change.

They only create more stress and anxiety.

So instead, I’m staying open,

allowing myself to explore lots of possibilities,

and noticing which ones feel good in my body

I’m trusting that when the time comes,

my heart will guide me in the direction that’s right for me.

I’ll be turning 50 this year,

and I’ve been reflecting deeply on what matters most.

The answer I keep coming back to is quality of life.

For me, this means taking good care of my body.

Being present with myself and those I love.

Doing work that serves others and fills my heart.

Experiencing lots of joy, connection, and vitality

Fully living my life, in whatever time I have.

I'm going to allow my overall well-being to be the guiding force of my life.

That means well-being for my body, mind, heart, and soul.

Because we can never control what life brings us,

even when we have the best plans and work towards goals.

We think what’s most important is achieving a specific desired outcome —

but when we focus on striving for particular outcomes,

it often pulls us out of alignment with what truly matters in life.

The best way to align your decisions is to pay attention to how you feel.

So as I move forward,

I’m choosing to let my overall sense of well-being be my North Star.

I’ll always follow what feels best to me.

I trust my intuition ~ it's the gentle calling of my soul.

The quiet pull of my heart.

It can be hard to hear sometimes,

because inner guidance doesn’t always make sense to our mind.

Our mind wants to predict and control outcomes,

and intuition is beyond what the mind can comprehend.

But the body always knows.

When we’re present and centered within ourselves,

we can feel the difference between a yes and a no.

Between the feelings of expansion and contraction.

Through my deep connection and love for myself,

I’ve learned that I can always navigate life by following my inner guidance.

I don’t need to have all the answers right now.

I don’t need to figure out the entire path ahead.

Because when the time comes,

I’ll be able to feel what supports my well-being…

and that will be my guide.

When you have a loving relationship with yourself,

you can align with your heart and trust your path to unfold.

🧭 Feeling Your Body’s Guidance:

Place a hand on your heart and take a slow, deep breath.

As you exhale, bring to mind an area of your life that feels uncertain.

Think about the different possibilities, and notice what happens in your body.

Does your energy feel open or closed? Light or heavy?

Your body can already feel what's most aligned for you.
