Self-Love is the Path, Not the Destination

Last week I finally found the courage to show up with love and vulnerability,
and sprout this little micro-blog/seed that’s been quietly growing in my heart.
(If you missed it, you can find my first post here.)
As the Universe does (with its impeccable timing for growth opportunities),
Friday delivered bumps, tech glitches, a little heartache, and a lot of anxiety.
To say I felt tender, unsure, and wobbly would be an understatement.
But it showed me something I wasn't expecting:
🌿Just how much this really matters to me.
This message, this mission ~ to share the Self-Love journey with you ~
grows from the center of my heart, rooted in the depths of my soul.
My dedication was tested, but instead of crumbling, I found my strength
in the solid foundation of Self-Love that I've built for myself.
So here I stand, strong in my mission to encourage you to love yourself more.
Not because I'm enlightened or have all the answers, far from it actually,
but because I had incredible mentors who walked beside me
*(blowing kisses to you, Laura & Kelly 😘)*,
and modeled how to hold the light of self-love and grace...
especially when it’s hard.
This foundation of Self-Love is the only true foundation for the life we desire
because it allows us to BE with ourselves
when the journey to what we want gets bumpy or discouraging.
The path of Self-Love won’t stop life’s difficulties…
but it will change how we show up and meet them.
It will soften the edges. It will steady our breath.
It will keep us connected to what matters most
and help us stand strong in the storms.
Self-Love isn't some future destination that we'll arrive at
when we've finally achieved everything we want
and then maybe think we're good enough...
Self-love is the path that takes us there.
Every step. Every time.

I hope this inspired you to love yourself, even if it's just the tiniest bit more...
especially in the difficult moments, when you most need your own grace.

Good Morning, Dear One,
I certainly resonated with your message. Thank you for trusting your self enough to extend your thoughts and insights to the rest of us.
Whether someone is deciding to create the space you're now creating...or asking a friend for help...or simply affirming the truth of "being" in good times and bad...trust is the wide lens through which love is recognized. Actually, I think that the influence of--and indispensable need for--trust is really underrated.
And so...continue.
